Life Coaching

Assessment Based Certification

The Certified Coaches Federation provides assessment-based certification. At the end of the two days of training, you will have been evaluated on participation & given an exam to confirm accomplishment of the learning objectives.

Assessment-based certificate programs are distinct from a course leading to a certificate of attendance or participation, in that they require successful completion of an end-of-program assessment to confirm accomplishment of the learning objectives.

The primary purpose of an assessment-based certificate program is to provide instruction & training; specifically education, courses, curricula, or training whereby participants can acquire the knowledge, skills, & competencies related to:

· a profession

· an occupation

· a process

· support of a product

· or a provision of a service

The program may include remediation activities to address relative weaknesses or gaps in participants’ knowledge, skills, or competencies.

Assessment-based certificate programs designate that participants have completed education, coursework, curricula, or training that is tied to specific learning or course objectives & passed an end-of-program assessment derived from those objectives.

Graduating from the Certified Coaches Federation two-day intensive course gives you the confidence to know that you now have the skills (both as a coach & as a business owner) to go out & help others accomplish their goals & turn their dreams into reality.

As a CCF graduate you are not only a coach, you are a Certified Coach Practitioner™ (CCP). Graduates are licensed & approved to include the CCP initials as part of their title.

Our certification program is assessment based.

Upon completion of CCF's training modules, exercises & homework, & in addition to classroom participation evaluation, students will take a test to demonstrate their competency & skill in the basic techniques of coaching.

Upon successful completion students will receive a certificate from CCF recognizing them as an accredited CERTIFIED COACH PRACTITIONER™.

Continuing Education Provider

The Certified Coaches Federation is an official Continuing Education Provider. CCF has been approved by the Board of Registered Nursing in the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs. As of October 18, 2007, Certified Coaches Federation was awarded the designation of Continuing Education Provider for the Board of Registered Nursing.

Q. What is the difference between a Certified Coach and a Certified Coach Practitioner?

A. A Certified Coach Practitioner is a globally recognized designation. Practitioners are trained in the traditional 'will based' model as well as trained to work with shifting and changing patterns at the level of the subconscious. Practitioners are able to tailor programs individually rather than using a 'cookie cutter' approach.

Q. "How is it possible to earn the Certified Coach Practitioner designation in
only two days?"
A. The Certified Coach Practitioner course teaches participants (through an intensive two-day course) the fundamentals of coaching, the coaching relationship & building a successful coaching practice. Following the two-day course, participants have a follow-up session with their Master Coach facilitator & free monthly continuing education for the next 12 months. Coaches who continue as a Certified Coaches Federation coach are enrolled in the CCF Coach Mentoring Program, which provides on-going coach training, personal & professional coaching with a Master Coach, as well as membership in the CCF Corporate Advantage program.

Q. "How can I get a Certified Coach Practitioner course in my hometown?"
A. Individuals & companies with 10 or more, we can arrange for a Master Coach to come to you. Corporate classes will be tailored to the needs of the company. If you have an idea of a good location in the Mid-Atlantic region, e-mail Dee with your suggestion. Individuals who host a class for 10 paid students will receive their program at no charge in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Q. "Can I get my employer to expense my tuition fees?"
A. Yes, many employers recognize the value of the Life Coach training.

Q. "Can we get a group discount?"
A. Yes. Groups of 10 or more may qualify for a discount of 10%, groups of 20 or more a 20% discount, & groups of 30 or more a 30% discount.

Q. "Do you have a payment plan for the Life Coach Course?"
A. We require an initial deposit of $100 to hold your place in the course & then we accept subsequent payments for the course tuition. The course tuition must be paid in full by the first day of the course.

Q. "What are the hours of the course?"
A. Each day of the two-day course runs from 9 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. There will be a working lunch both days & homework the first evening.

Q. "What kind of support can CCF Coaches expect?"
A. All coaches who graduate from the Certified Coach Practitioner course receive a follow-up one-on-one coaching session with their Master Coach Facilitator, a year-long free membership for the bi-weekly CCF Monthly Coach continuing education, the CCF Coaching Strategies Newsletter & business exposure through the CCF monthly newsletter. Coaches who are trained by Dee in the Mid-Atlantic region will also be eligible to have a listing on the Find a Coach page coming spring of 2009.
Additionally, coaches who choose to enroll in the Coaches Mentoring Program who have been trained by Dee in the Mid-Atlantic region will receive a full listing on the Find a Coach page coming spring of 2009 at no charge. This listing will include your photo as well as bio information. You do not have to live in the Mid-Atlantic Region to participate.

Derrick earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Johnson State College & executive education at Harvard Business School.
